Men’s Dialogue

On the 21st of March 2023, men from around Slovoville in Mabopane gathered at our office in Slovo for a dialogue.

The purpose of this dialogue was to engage and come up with solutions about how best can social ills, unemployment, Gender Based Violence, and Drug Abuse be addressed in their community.

A window of opportunity was opened as a result of this engagement, and skills development opportunities that would benefit the immediate community were also identified during this session, and they include carpentry, brick-laying, and plumbing among many others.

Men are now becoming role models to younger boys in the community, and they have pledged to play an active role in riding the society of harmful practices such as Gender Based Violence and Drug Abuse.

Meaningful engagements and contributions will eventually yield positive results in our communities.
