LGBTQIA+ Training In Mabopane
February 23, 2023, marked a day when the SBC Facilitators as well as other staff members of Katlo Development Centre were on the receiving end of the Education and Information session. This was the case because Facilitators and Staff members were attending the LGBTQIA+ Training at the Mabopane Indoor Centre.
The main objective of this particular training was to provide a broader understanding of the overall LGBTQIA+ orientation, along with the overall challenges that are encountered by the members of the colorful LGBTQIA+ community.
Through this training, we learned of approaches that can be used and applied in dealing with these challenges.
Some of the most important things that were highlighted included the rights and freedom of all human beings, inclusive of LGBTQIA+ members.
As members of Katlo Development Centre staff, we remain open to learning and being taught as we believe that this paves the way for our growth and development.
